I'm Sorry 04:11
I’m not sure what I said I kind of lost my head I’m Sorry Baby can I see you tonight? Make everything all right I’m Sorry Yeah, I’m Sorry I hope that you can see the truth I’m Sorry I know that we can make it too I’m Sorry I’m Sorry You say we need a little time To play a little lost and find Well, I’m Sorry What are we looking for? Maybe get back to the day We had so much to say Well don’t worry Baby, you worry You know you’ve got to believe me The words that are coming out of my mouth At least this time I’m pretty sure I know what it is that I’m talking about Just take me home with you now And I will hold with you now All the snapshots of life that we had It wasn’t so sad We can get it all back Just gotta believe me I’m Sorry Baby just gotta believe me I’m Sorry I hope that you can see the truth I’m Sorry I know that we can make it too I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry

Brave 03:09
In life we have so much pain And then suffering too I don’t know where it all started from What would I do? I try to get back on my feet And it blows me right down Here comes the pain That I knew would catch up with me now And oh how we fall so hard And fall down again And I know we’re supposed to get right back up And not let it win And oh how we fall so hard You know why we do? It’s so we can recognize love From somebody like you Ooh, Ooh, Ooohhhh Oh my, oh my You hit me so hard Cry, cry, cry, how I cried When you gave me your heart Oh my, oh my Can you lay me down? One thing in life that l know why Is you love me now Yeah, you love me now I have got your love now One thing in life that I know why Is you love me now Ooh, ooh, ooohhh Now take, take me with you Your brave, brave and true Oh right! Oh my, oh my You hit me so hard Cry, cry how I cried when you gave me your heart Oh my, oh my Can you lay me down? One thing in life that I l know why Is you love me now Yeah, you love me know I have got your love now One thing in life that I know why Is you love me now Ooh, ooh, oooohhhh…..

Just Because 03:43
Have you ever sat and cried? Cried…. Just because Did you ever wonder why? Just why? Just why we don’t give up Is it just because? Of life? That we keep it up The fight And we don’t give up On life Ahhhhhhhh….. Is it just because? Remember when you saw the light The light The light that lit you up It pulled you up into the sky The Sky And we both knew that you would not give up Was it just because Of life That you don’t give up You try That’s when you found the love For life Why???? Maybe baby you could just come with me We can find the things that we’re not supposed to see Have a peek and see what’s hiding behind the door We could look for more Cuz there’s so much more Remember when I wrote this song This song… The song that choked you up Was it just for love Of life You know that it woke us up With light That’s when we fell in love For life Why?????? Was it just because? Was it just because? Baby, it was just because

A Boom Boom 03:55
Here we begin A life with a kid Listen to the drums They’re on their way A boom, boom, boom, boom Lions and kings Mountains will sing Today A boom, boom, boom, boom A love that we know The love that we’re living in A love that you show Hey, hey, hey! A boom, boom, boom, boom A love that you grow The love we’ve been giving it Today A boom, boom, boom, boom A boom, boom, boom, boom The love of our life Inside of you grown Kicking the lights up You can't wait to give us a show And so it begins Hey, hey, hey! Hold on real tight Wait for that glow Push with your might And get ready for life that you’re bringing in Today Hey, hey, hey! A love that we know The love that we’re living in The love that we show A boom, boom, boom, boom A love that we grow There’s a life that is coming in Today! A boom, boom, boom, boom A boom, boom, boom, boom Now it begins Life with a kid Your eyes will tell me she’s OK Hey, hey, hey! Now starts the show The three hearts that glow Today A boom, boom, boom, boom I really am frightened at the thought of me being any good as a Dad How will I know if all the love we’ve grown It will be OK? A boom, boom, boom, boom Here we begin, our life with a kid Listen to the drums on their way A boom, boom, boom, boom A boom, boom, boom, boom

Lion's Feet 03:20
We’ve played under some giant trees Worn out those patches on our knees Braved the wild and jungle weather You and I we run together Running for miles on Lion’s Feet We’ve travelled far from sea to sea Stomped up some dust All through the streets Met a man from San Antone Asked how long away from home We’ve been now far on Lion’s Feet Hey let’s go look behind that door Might be a mouse or dinosaur Never know until we try Make you jump a mile high Up on our Lion’s Feet Been away for 40 days We’ll ride the sunshine’s mighty rays of go-o-o-o-old Met the moon man up in space He said we were not far away from ho-o-o-o-om We came down from inside the stars Traveled so long and very far I held your hand in love in flight Brought back home this special light inside our Lion’s Hearts Hey lets go look behind that door Might be a mouse or dinosaur We’ll never know until we try Make you jump a mile high Up on our Lion’s Feet Up on our Lion’s Feet Up on our Lion’s Feet

Lately 03:30
If I haven’t told you lately If I haven’t told you lately If I haven’t told you lately what you mean to me Maybe I could show you if you come with me I’ll take you up the frozen road where I spent half my time And show you where I’ve looked for gold and nearly lost my mind I want you to know ( If I haven’t told you lately ) That your love is gold ( If I haven’t told you lately ) It’s your love The gold in my life Always been your love It glows from your eyes ( If I haven’t told you lately ) That gold in your love Oh how it shines ( If I haven’t told you lately ) Keep gold in your love Cuz there’s gold in mine ( If I haven’t told you lately ) ( If I haven’t told you lately ) ( If I haven’t told you lately ) I want you to know That your love is gold ( If I haven’t told you lately ) It’s your love The gold in my life ( If I haven’t told you lately ) Always been your love It glows from your eyes ( If I haven’t told you lately ) That gold in your love Oh how it shines ( If I haven’t told you lately ) Keep gold in your love Cuz there’s gold in mine ( If I haven’t told you lately ) ( If I haven’t told you lately ) ( If I haven’t told you lately ) ( If I haven’t told you lately )

My Friend 06:20
It broke me up The fall from the clouds… Again It broke me up Crashed to the ground But then… Light broke through my window It broke through my window And it lit me up It lift me up Again And again It woke me up Far from this town Again It shook me up Right from the ground But then… I saw you Down in the subway Then you ran up the walk way Then you picked me up You lifted me up If you only knew How good it is to be seen by you New message: “ Hey it’s me, I’m just leaving you a quick message here to let you know that when I saw you that day down in the tunnel and you helped me out I never really got to say to you what it is I needed to say So here it is…..” My God It’s good to see a friend The one who’ll run with me to the end And what the fuck was with today? My friend you make it all OK I know that you got me in your heart And we could light our way from the dark And watch the world come to its end We’ll have it all lit up My friend We’ll have it all lit up My friend We’ll have it all lit up My friend We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up My friend We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up My friend We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up My friend We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up We’ll have it all lit up My friend It’s all lit up My Friend!!!!

Well, if you haven’t got Any of me left on your mind Then I swear to God There's no sense in us being here This time Well, if we haven't lost Too many moments we can't find The weather good or not Maybe just call it off For the last time I couldn't bring the water home It's best we just leave it alone We ran dry on anything to say We didn't know we threw it away We threw it away We could save this song We could save this song How'd we end up in the lost and found? Do you think we could turn it around? And be a blanket somebody saves Or maybe just throw it away? They throw it away Well, I know we've been lost On so many rough patches of road But that old blankets got A beautiful mess of patched up holes We could save this song ( Repeat X 10 )

about

Some people just own their age. It’s in the way they stand; the way they speak, the way they conduct themselves. For William Mimnaugh (stage name WiL ) those qualities stand true. And yet somehow, this edgy, fit yet slightly worn looking roots rocker from Vancouver Island managed to infuse a dose of this wisdom into his lyrics while penning his latest and very personal album called The Gold Mine.

About five years ago WiL was asked to come up with a short piece of music for a commercial project. The client passed on the idea but that little piece of music stuck. It stuck so hard that the rest of that song just kind of wrote itself. And then it planted the seed to the most ambitious album to date. So ambitious it took four more years to fully be realized.
You see, a 51 year old song craftsman cannot go that long without having something to say and someone to say it to. WiL’s sixth studio album titled The Gold Mine does have something to say and anyone who has been in a relationship for any length of time may want to have a listen. You see, there is a universal thread about these songs, a kind of unapologetic agelessness. But it makes sense! The writer is himself unapologetic - about his age, his roots, his choices AND his music career. After all; he has been through the proverbial grind, signed to a major and been dropped, made some albums he’d rather not think about, played some shows to empty rooms but what musical artist hasn’t?? What doesn’t hurt you…. right?? And WiL is stronger. He has evolved. And so has his music. You can hear the evolution in a series of songs that made their way into an award winning, not to mention, stunning tourism campaign for Travel Alberta. Since 2011 ‘Roam’ has been streamed millions of times worldwide and remains one of his most requested songs at shows.
It has taken the better part 20 years to get right here, right now and WiL is far from done. Curious? Yes. Fastidious. Yes. Meticulous. Yes. A.D.D.?? Most probably, but it’s precisely these qualities that have landed him some pretty cool gigs. Standouts include opening for soul legend Mavis Staples, The Hip, Bryan Adams, Indie darling Feist and one of his music heroes, Ray LaMontagne.
While WiL’s catalogue grows his music has become the soundtrack for many. Countless fans have chosen Oak Tree as their wedding dance, partied to Both Hands holding a wine bottle and sung Roam while hiking far away snow capped peaks. With this new album perhaps they’ll find a new nugget of gold to add to their music playlists. Perhaps it will be the quietly apologetic I’m Sorry, the simple heartfelt delivery of Precious or the whimsical love story that is Lion’s Feet.
